Alkalizing Broth/Soup Recipe

Alkalizing the body is the best way to release toxins. Sometimes a juice cleanse is too much because we feel like we need some food as well. This recipe will help satisfy your cravings and alkalize your body for maximum health!

Alkaline Broth or Soup


3 quarts of filtered water
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 medium yellow onions, chopped
3 medium to large potatoes, chopped
2-3 stalks of celery, chopped
2-3 large carrots, chopped (including the carrot tops)
1 bunch chopped greens of choice, such as collards, mustard, kale, or turnip and 1 bunch of parsley
1 large piece of kelp, kombu or nori seaweed
Himalayan Sea Salt to taste


  1.  Place all ingredients in a soup pot.
  2.  Bring to a light boil with the lid on.
  3.  Simmer for 45 minutes.
  4.  Remove from the heat

If you are eating as a broth only once it’s cooled, strain into a large bowl or pot keeping only the broth. Use in soups or refrigerate and drink 2-3 cups/day.
If you are enjoying it as a soup, you’ll just leave the ingredients in and enjoy as a hearty soup.
